Abu Dhabi Pottery was established in 1994 by Homa Vafaie Farley to share her love of pottery with others. Since then countless students – adults and children, from all over the world – have been introduced to the techniques, and the enjoyment, of working with clay.
Pottery classes are available in Abu Dhabi, 6 days a week (and on Fridays by prior arrangements if there are 5 or more students in each group or class).
We host children’s parties in our studio, or the comfort of your own home, where children are introduced to Hand-building pottery. They will make a pinch pot and be given the choice of making animals, a small teapot or a small pendant.
This tutorial can be carried out, at Abu Dhabi Pottery, for students of all ages and backgrounds and can be adapted to suit the age of participants, starting from 5 years old to A level and university students and other interested groups of adults.
Corporate team-building workshops are available for companies who wish to help their staff enjoy fun-filled, quality time with colleagues, working as a team. These workshops are an excellent tool for building morale and friendship amongst employees.

Beginners will start by learning how to prepare clay and will be given a short lecture on the various stages of pottery and ceramic making, firing and glazing.
You will first learn hand-building and then the basics of learning to make a pot on the potter’s wheel, or improving your current skills, also learning to throw larger, better pots, also learning all aspects of glazing etc.

If you have broken or chipped a favourite piece of china or pottery, or one item in a set, we will do our best to restore it.
This service is available for schools, colleges, universities and individuals throughout U.A.E.
The course will aim to introduce the participant to all aspects of making, firing, glazing and decorating of pottery and ceramics.
We also offer a range of support services for potters, schools & colleges, including lectures & demonstrations, health & safety training, studio layout design and the supply of pottery equipment and materials throughout UAE.
